Healthcare professionals taking part in this year’s Insulin Safety Week will be able to access two educational resources from Eden during the week-long campaign.
Organisers announced that two insulin checklists from Eden have been added to the Insulin Safety Week (ISW) online resource pack.
During the national campaign, registered sites will have exclusive access to Eden’s ‘Insulin initiation education checklist’ and ‘Insulin prescribing checklist’ via the virtual pack.
Laura Willcocks, Lead for Healthcare Professional Education and Training, EDEN, said: “We are proud to support ISW 2023 and to play a role in raising awareness about the importance of insulin safety.
“ISW is a critical campaign as it provides healthcare professionals with vital education surrounding insulin and how to use it correctly.”
She added: “We hope that our Eden checklists on insulin will help inpatient and primary care teams in their day-to-day practice.”
Insulin Safety Week 2023 is scheduled to take place in sites across the UK and Ireland between Monday, May 15, and Sunday, May 21.
The week-long campaign is designed to educate nurses, doctors and other healthcare staff about insulin and the need to understand the drug and use it safely.
