Insulin Safety Week dates revealed

The dates for first-ever, national Insulin Safety Week have been announced.

The campaign, being rolled out across the UK and Ireland, builds on interest generated by successful local campaigns across the country, including at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. It will take place from May 14 to 20 and follow the same format as Hypo Awareness Week.

Meanwhile, on the back of the best-ever Hypo Awareness Week last autumn, which saw 343 sites take part, we are pleased to announce the date for this year’s Hypo Awareness Week is September 24 to 30. This will allow more time between the campaign and the Quality in Care (QiC) awards as once again the Excellence Award will be presented at the QiC awards ceremony.

Dates:

Insulin Safety Week – May 14 to 20
Hypo Awareness Week – September 24 to 30
