Insulin Safety Week 2022

Following a phenomenally successful Insulin Safety Week 2022, we would like to thank all of the healthcare teams that took part this year.

A total of 425 sites across the UK and Ireland participated in the annual awareness week, which aims to reduce the number of insulin errors made by healthcare professionals.

More than 300 of the registered sites received a printed pack, which included posters, pens, t-shirts, sticky notes and stickers.

Meanwhile, all of the sites had access to an online resource pack, which contained a press release template, suggested social media posts and a campaign poster.

The online resource pack also included an:

  • Email signature
  • Screensaver
  • Digital animation
  • Logo
  • Campaign tips
  • CDEP e-learning poster
  • Social media graphics
  • Electronic Handbook for adult inpatient diabetes care
  • Trend Diabetes insulin safety crib card
  • Time in Range cards
  • Insufficient glycemic control video.

The sites also had exclusive access to a Trend Diabetes lunchtime webinar on the evolution of insulin safety.

In addition, the registered healthcare teams could access Trend Diabetes’ Getting it Right e-learning module and EDEN resources during the week.

We are now encouring the registered sites to apply for the Insulin Safety Week Excellence Awards, which celebrates, recognises and rewards the ‘above and beyond’ efforts that were made during the campaign.

This year we are pleased to announce that the entries will be judged by representatives from our sponsor, Sanofi:
